I can imagine you can guess where I ate supper on my last night in Toronto. This Hard Rock is in the Eaton Center. Very cool spot to eat, cool surroundings and good music. The view was amazing, as you can see the roof was open on the Eaton Center. You can also see that they are almost set for a football game. They had apparently just finished shooting a commercial, hence the reason the elephant is there.

And the End is near! Adam reassembled the bike today and flashed it up. It's loud, as it has no muffler, but it runs...although it is now leaking coolant...It is now out of Rob's bike shop and now the newest member of the family is in the shop. Only a little bit left to do to the quad. I need a new seal around the shifter where it goes through the side cover, I also need to retap the oil drain plug because the dummy who had it before me stripped the frigger! Some body work to do to it, minor, wont look pretty for awhile but it will work! I dont think the guy ever washed off the mud, although it seems the mud was a combo of oil and dirt so it kept all the bolts from ceasing. more to come!

OK, so it's update time. Adam and I have been working our tails off trying to get this bike back together. Well, during disassembly, someone...(adam) lost 2 valve shims. We are at the point now where the head is on, we have checked the valve spacing, now Adam has to order new valve shims, approx 5-6 because some of them got mixed up as well during disassembly...not to mention that we resurfaced the valves. So, what is left??? Well, once the shims are in, install the cams, put on the coolant hoses, the rest of the ignition system, exhaust, carbs, put the extra parts somewhere where we will find them later, then fire it up! Cross your fingers, should be running by Monday...ish.

Does anyone know how to put this back together?
So for those of you following the saga you know that I blew a piston ring on my bike two weeks ago. Well last night we took the engine apart and guess what. Not a damn thing wrong with it, other then the fact that it is now dissassembled. Neither one of us has a clue where the oil was coming from now.

I have finally decided to stop puting money into the S-10. I am purchasing a Nissan Pathfinder, it's older but in much better shape and only has 160,000 kms on it for a 1991. Here is what it looks like. Can't wait to test it on the incline back in Renfrew where we go hunting. I am back to work tomorrow. :( It has been good being off, the baby seems to be sleeping through the night now..let's hope it continues..three nights in a row! Cross your fingers!

Sadly, I have the unpleasant responsibility to report to all of you that there has been an injury in the Rob and Adam Toy family. Following a day trip to truro on Saturday, Adam's motorcycle blew a piston ring. Thankfully Adam made it to the Bayer's lake exit. It was, sad to say, not far enough away to warrant a truck thus causing Adam to have to endure the humiliation of pushing his motorcycle home, about 1 Km away. I would like to take this time to offer my condolences and hope for a speedy recovery.
