So yesterday Adam and I planned to take the 4X4 out for a run. I asked Adam to come out a little early to give me a hand putting up some pine before going out on the Quad. Adam showed up at around 1pm I met him on my way out to the shed to rip down a piece of pine. By 1:15 pm we were in the car headed to Cobequid to deal with my boo boo. I still dont know how it happened but it did. It all happened so fast I cant remember...What I do remember is grabbing my thumb and turning off the saw and walking in the house asking quite strongly for a cloth. Luckily all was attached, not by a lot, if it had been broken there would not have been much holding it on...Anyway, arrived at about 1:20 at Cobequid, left at about 4pm or there abouts. God l.ove Adam for hanging out with me at the hospital, Thanks Bro, I appreciate it! I am beginning to wonder if I am supposed to use the Quad, this makes twice in a row!

NEED I SAY MORE???

Thursday, January 26, 2006

Okay, I have to voice my extreme dissapointment! I was all set to go for a ride on the 4X4. I had about an hour of free time , said hey, I could go for a run on the quad! So, I get all bundled up, helmet on gloves, put the key in, turn the key, and nothing! THE BATTERY IS DEAD!!!So, I thought hmmmm.....maybe I can use the battery out of the motorcycle. Hooked up the jumper cables and....nothing.....So, I hook up the trickle charger and go back inside... :( Maybe next time.

Heres the fly tying box that ive been making. Ive put it up here to piss rob off, but also to show him how he could do his box up. The strips with holes drilled in them on the cover are for pegs to hang things from. Ive got a few spare pieces of wood left that may be enough to do most of it for you rob. You may just need the dowels, hinges, elastic, and maybe some strips to drill into.

Well I received this link in an email today. I thought it was great. It is a clip from " The Man Show". It's about hunters and their prey. Take a look and let me know what you think.

I dont really agree with the US being involved over in Iraq, but I thought this was a good joke all the same.

New Special Forces

The Pentagon announced today the formation of a new 50-man elite fighting unit called the United States Redneck Special Forces.

These Alabama, Arkansas, West Virginia, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas boys will be dropped off into Iraq and have been given only the following facts about terrorists:

1. The season opened today.
2. There is no limit.
3. They taste just like chicken.
4. They don't like beer, pickups, Mountain Dew, country music or Jesus..
5. They are DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for the death of Dale
Earnhardt.

We expect the problem in Iraq to be over by Friday.

Okay, so I need everyone to cross their fingers, toes, ears, legs, arms and anything else you wish to cross in order for me to win this beautiful machine. But it will only work if you ALL do it at the same time. So, let's pick a date and specific time of day and maybe even specific body parts to cross.Let me know what day works best for you and maybe we can even pray for the lottery gods to bless me with this new 4X4. Early bird draw is Feb 20th I think, then they are drawing for another machine in March.

Colby's first trip on the Quad. He loved it. I need to find a helmet for him. There are lots of trails around here for us to explore. Can't wait until he's old enough to ride the motorcycle with me.
So last Sunday we decided to have a barbecue at our place. Barry and his girlfriend Joanne, Adam and of course myself and Tina. We had a feast of Deer, Rabbit and chicken. Everything was awesome. My first time eating rabbit, was not too bad. We had enough food to sink a ship though. Very good time. Will have to do it again!

Some custom mods for the new quad. I counted 11, how many can you find. I also challenge you to come up with a name for the design style. Mine is Harley Davidson Redneck Bling.

Here's a picture of Rob riding our new toy. We got it last Saturday, so of course we were out on sunday. Were not quite sure where Barry will sit when the three of us are out.

Us Going through what is left of our puddle. Can you tell that part of the front bumper is missing?

Well, I was out today with Tina's cousin Mike and Barry hunting rabbits. I know, I know, another hunting story...Anyway, Adam had to work today so it was just the three of us and the two beagles. Barry's dog is about 2 and has never been trained to hunt. We have been out with him a couple of times and with no luck. He really liked to hunt the squirrels and was quite gun shy. Today we had Tina's cousin Mike with us and he brought his hunting dog turbo. The day got off to a very slow start took awhile for turbo to get going but he finally started one and pretty much didn't stop all day. This was Barry's first time out hunting rabbit with a trained beagle and was quite impressed. The second rabbit of the day came out and not knowing that anyone else could see it I took aim. Well, little did I know that Mike and Barry had a bead on the rabbit as well. Mike shot first which triggered me, then Barry followed a split second later. We all had our finger on the trigger waiting for a shot. Let's just say that we can all get credit for the kill, it's a good thing we were 10-15 yards away when we fired or there would have been no rabbit left.
I am still in shock at all the rabbits that are back there. We shot 5 between the 3 of us, we could have had more if we had stayed longer. We had to call Turbo off a rabit because we ended up too close to the houses.
Derk(Barry's Dog) did ok yesterday. He was not quite sure what he was supposed to do but he was a sniffing fool. He was all over the place looking. He followed Turbo on the first rabbit and kept up for awhile. The dogs got into a little tuffle over the first rabbit. Toward the end of the day we were wondering if Derkl was going to catch on when he started yelping on and off for a couple of seconds. Then he bolted after something, which we could only assume was a rabbit, at full howl and stayed on it for about 15-20 minutes before we decided we had to get going.
All in all, a good day. Needless to say, Adam was quite upset having missed a great opportunity to hunt with an experienced hunting dog. It will be a little while before we go out again, but if you like rabbit meat, let me know, I think I can get you some!

So I walk by the refridgerator tonight and see this cartoon on it. Realizing it's new, Tina has a habit of keeping them on the fridge longer than there is ice at the south pole...., anyway, I read it...I have to say this best describes at least one aspect of our relationship...
