MAKE IT NUMBER 4!!!
So, adam and I are out at the "Outdoor Sport and RV Show" on the weekend. We are walking around the show taking in all the wondrous things that we could be doing if we didn't have to waste our time working to make very little money.. When what do we see but the conservation Canada booth, and can you guess who is working the booth?? None other! We approached him and politely asked him if he was stalking us. He looked at us quite funny and asked "why?" I only had to say "Renfrew Road" and he broke into a big smile and laughed. "Oh, Adam Hennigar right??" Which is where we found out exactly why they were so concerned with us. We were right, they saw the shotgun shells and thought we were hunting out of season. We told him that the next time they are at all suspicious of us or need to get ahold of us, to check channel 1-1 on the FRS (Radio) and ask us in person to save them the trouble...
Do you remember the post awhile back where Adam and I were stopped by the conservation officer?? Well, since then, we have met up with this guy 2 more times. Once while we were hunting deer. He never even asked to see our licenses, yes we had them...The 3rd time was interesting...It was on the last trek in the woods I just posted about..We were walking out of the woods after taking down dad's deer blind. We were on our way out of the woods, following fresh deer sign, with dirk howling the whole way out. We get out to the road and look to our left and see two quads approaching. As they get closer, we notice it is, THE CONSERVATION OFFICER!! So, he then asks what we have been up to, carefully eyeing the RABBIT hunting dog and the other dog wearing HUNTER orange and myself and Adam wearing our hunting packs. After explaining that we were out for a hike and to take down a deer blind, they let it go. They asked if we had any firearms, we looked at each other, surprised and immediatly said "no". We get back to the truck with wonder gripping us as to why they were so concerned about us, when it dawns on us..there on the console of Adam's truck was the box of .410 shotgun shells. They though we were hunting out of season. Only us....

Wow, I know it has been a while..But here it is..another outing with Adam and Barry. Barry brought his dogs as we were out looking for deer sign since there was some snow on the ground hopefully letting us know where the deer have been traveling. The Beagle is Dirk and the one the looks like a Corgie is Allie.

As you can see, the ice we were walking on was not QUITE safe...The first to FALL victim was Adam who dropped one leg in to test the water for the second victim....BARRY! Barry was down to the crotch, rolled to the left and his Butt went through, then rolled more to the edge, finally out of the way. Meanwhile, I am following these guys and decide, hm...not sfe for them, definately NOT safe for me, so I casually stoll up onto the bank surrounding the swamp, casually avoiding a wet foot or worse...SUCKERS!
