Adam and I going under the bridge....as if
that wasn't obvious...

By the look of surprise...I think this might be just after Jo's plunge

Adam and I fishing

This is just after portaging between the lakes...thankfully Barry didn't take the picture he was going to with my ass in the air trying to work the canoe off the rock

MY POOR TRUCK!!!

This is Barry and Jo going under the bridge. It was very low and we had to
really duck down in order to get under it.

Adam and I took a side trip down a very hidden still water.
This is what was found at the very end of it. Like a small
tropical rain forest, it went on for quite a long way, we didn't
have a lot of time to explore it. Spooked a deer when we started walking
around in there though.
Taken Just after Jo fell in the water...I think she is ringing out some
part of her clothing...I guess the water was kinda cold...how many
milimeters was it Barry?

HERE IS A GOOD ONE!
Sent on a golf tour in Newfoundland, Tiger Woods drives his new Ford Fusion into a petrol station in a remote part of the countryside. The pump attendant, obviously knows nothing about golf, greets him in a typical Newfoundlander manner completely unaware of who the golfing pro is. "Top of the mornin' to yer, sir" says the attendant. Tiger nods a quick "hello" and bends forward to pick up the nozzle. As he does so, two tees fall out of his shirt pocket onto the ground. "What are dose?" Asks the attendant. "They're called tees" replies Tiger. "Well, what on God's earth are dey for?" inquires the attendant. "They're for resting my balls on when I'm driving", says Tiger. "Fookin Jaysus", says the Newfoundlander, "Ford tinks of everyting!"
I ordered the Cabela's fly fishing catalogue a couple of weeks ago. Today the Automotive and ATV one arrived ???? I'm confused. Of course I looked through it all the same. I was trying to find if they sold wheelie bars for the ATV.

And here's a definition of politics:

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, "What is Politics?"

Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I am the head of the family, so call me The President. Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government. We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People. The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class. And your baby brother, we will call him the Future. Now think about that and see if it makes sense."
So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parent's room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room.Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.

The next morning, the little boy say's to his father, "Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now."

The father says, "Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about."

The little boy replies, "The President is screwing the Working Class while the Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit."

A view of the still water that the bridge crosses

The still water feeds into this lake, need to get the canoe
into this lake and still water.

I didn't feel comfortable taking the truck over this bridge.
Turns out it is quite safe.

Another view of the lake through the woods.

A fishing we will go again!
Off to Wooden's river, same place Adam flipped the Quad.... Here are the fish that we caught.. Adam was the first one on the board with a nice 10"er we think.. He then caught another one roughly 9-10". By this time I am getting a little worried I may get skunked... So after deciding we will try one last area I finally get my fish. WOW! Nice fish! Actually, all 3 fish were nice, well worth the long wait! Mine measured approx 12". Was a good day, between the off-road adventure, and the fishing, one cannot complain!

Adam's 2nd Catch

Adam's First

This one was mine!
The wooden's river is a catch and realease only river.
All of these nice trout have been realeased so they can
pass on their good genes!
I CAN'T BELIEVE HE ROLLED IT!!!!
So, Adam and I went fishing today.
We took the quad and the S-10 with us because there
is a great off-road trail ideal for the quad and coincidentally, the S-10.
We tool the s-10 up the trail in search of a good spot to fish.
about 300 yards up the road we came accross someone coming
in the opposite direction with an SUV. This trail is just wide enough
for the S-10 so needless to say I had to put the truck in the ditch.
Adam was riding ahead scoping the road for me, he pulled up the bank and
was playing with the bike with one front tire on a rock and the other trying to climb a tree....
DO you see where I am going??? Apparently at the vertical position, there is a
very little choice where the thing goes next...Down he came, ass over tea kettle!
I show up and he and the driver of the SUV are flipping it back over from being
on its side. I am kicking myself for not getting a picture of it but I guess
it was in the best interest to get the quad right side up before it frigs
up the engine. Way to go ADAM! Here is the only damage to the bike...
Take a close look!

A FISHING WE WILL GO......
Here is a picture of Barry in the St. Andrews River.
We went up Sunday morning and spent the morning wading down stream.
The water need I tell you was DAMN cold...
We didn't have as much luck as Barry and Adam had on Saturday.
Barry caught over 12 and Adam caught over 8.
After the rain Saturday night the fish we not nearly as hungry on Sunday.
I caught 2 and Barry caught 2. So far I have the lunker prize for a nice 12"er,
and I also have the smallest catch of the year...about 5".
We left around 11am, the cold water was finally getting into the bones...
We had a good time anyway!
